The 2018 Daniel Gerould Memorial Lecture

Why publish a play in the 21st century? What are the limits of
performance and paper—and what becomes possible when they converge? Can
something be so analog that it becomes futuristic? In the last decades,
independent publishing houses have taken up the challenge to re-think
the relationship between print and performance in our times of
post-dramatic theatre and ubiquitous virtual texts.

Join Mac Wellman, publishers Matvei Yankelevich (Ugly Duckling Presse), Kate Kremer (53rd State Press), Rachel Kauder Nalebuff (3 Hole Press), and affiliate artist Annie Dorsen, Will Arbery, Daaimah Mubashshir, and Corinne Donly. Conversations moderated by Frank Hentschker.
